It was a snowy start in 2013 for GRA's Director of Advancement Kristen Kitchen, who noted, "The temperature was a tropical eighteen degrees that day, but I had never felt more warmth than when I stepped into Armington Hall." Kristen quickly became an integral part of the GRA community, connecting not just with current students and families, but also with the many alumni and friends of the Academy.
GRA wishes Kristen the very best of luck as she finishes her last week at the school and steps into a new role as the Executive Director with the United Way of Ashtabula County. Headmaster Tim Viands shares, "We have been very fortunate to see her grow here at the Academy. Many successes have occurred under her leadership of the Advancement Office, including building the capacity of our annual fund, establishing the Grand River Gala and expanding our community outreach."
As Kristen shared with the GRA community, "My relationship with GRA does not end simply because I may not see you each day. The students, the GRA mission and each of you will forever be a part of my husband and I's life. I wish the entire GRA family the best for the future."
Grand River Academy would like to extend its gratitude to Kristen for her dedicated efforts over the past five years. We look forward to seeing her continued success in her new role in our local community.
