There aren't too many individuals who have lived the life Assistant Director of Advancement & Alumni Relations David Thomas '11 has. David grew up on campus as the son of faculty members, attended Grand River Academy graduating in 2011, and returned following college to help in the advancement efforts of the school. It was this experience which help him connect with so many of GRA's friends and family over the past three and a half years.
"The academy has always been more than a place or school to me. Literally, GRA has been my home and family and leaving my role certainly is not an easy decision," shared David. GRA wishes David the very best of luck as he finished his last week at the school and steps into a new challenge continuing his role as the Austinburg Township Fiscal Officer and campaigning for County wide office this November.
Head of School Tim Oditt shares, "I have not known David for very long, but his help in aiding me transition here on campus has been invaluable. Through conversations with our Alumni and community members, he has certainly lived out the mission of GRA."
As David shared with the GRA community, "My title may change to former employee, but my role in helping our school and love for our mission and GRA family will never change. I look forward to helping with the hiring of a new Director of Development and introducing them to the GRA brotherhood I have been fortunate to know."
Grand River Academy would like to extend its gratitude to David for his dedicated efforts over the past three years. We look forward to seeing his continued success in his new adventures in our local community. In the interim, any advancement related questions can be directed to Head of School Tim Oditt at email@example.com.
