GRA Welcomes Mr. John Bardi P'19 to Board of Trustees
Kelli Jones

Last Friday, January 25th, Grand River Academy's Board of Trustees along with Headmaster Viands, welcomed alumni, families, and friends to the largest Mix & Mingle the school had the pleasure of hosting.

Held at the Avalon Inn & Hotel, courtesy of Iman and Kelli El-Gazaar P'19, stories were shared and new friends were made during this time. It provided a great opportunity for friends across the decades to connect and know that while the years may pass, GRA's mission in educating young men remains true to this day. This also provided the chance for the Board of Trustees to meet and share visions of the Academy's future.

This Mix & Mingle was held during the quarterly board meeting and annual board retreat. It was also during this meeting that Grand River Academy was excited to welcome its newest board member, Mr. John Bardi P'19. He shares that "I am honored to be a member of the Board of Trustees for Grand River Academy. As one of the oldest boarding schools in the United States, Grand River Academy offers young men the opportunity to achieve academically while developing emotionally and socially with an eye toward their future journey through college and beyond."

Mr. Bardi P'19 also joins the board during an exciting time for Grand River Academy. He continues "We are at a crossroads in our education system in the United States where the generational acceptance of new and exciting technologies has placed a profound responsibility on our faculty, staff, and board to position the Academy, its faculty, its curriculum and its environment for an exciting yet transformational future. I am proud to be part of this exciting journey not only as a current parent but as a trustee of Grand River Academy."

Mr. Bardi P'19 lives in the Washington D.C. area and is the Vice President of Public Affairs and Digital Medicine Business Development at Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. He received a B.A. degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Health Services Administration degree from The George Washington University.

Grand River Academy welcomes Mr. Bardi's experience to the board, especially during this time of transformation and growth in not just the students, but the school. If you're interested in receiving updates about the academy, please click on the button below to stay in touch.
