Success comes in many forms, as seen with this week's Alumni Spotlight, Justin Krainz '10.
Justin graduated from Baylor University in December of 2015 with an undergrad degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and minors in Business, Communication, and Sociology. Since college, he worked for a niche insurance company as an agent and manager before moving back to Waco, Texas, where he is currently involved with sales.
Justin married his wife Amanda just before Christmas in 2016 with family and friends present in Cabo. Since that special day, they have a half pit bull, half wiener dog named Jackson and reside in a small suburb of Waco, Texas called China Spring. Justin and Amanda are both Baylor fanatics holding season tickets for football, basketball, and baseball games. They try to attend every home and away game, enjoying tailgating and cheering the Bears on to victory.
"Some of my fondest memories of GRA were tied to sports activities," Justin writes. "I love the competitiveness of sports so playing baseball, basketball, and football while I was there really kept me grounded. Walking through the snow storms I will also never forget."
Justin's advice to current students includes having a future-thinking mindset focused on the end result, and using a positive mental attitude to get there.
When asked what was one of the aspects of living on campus he misses most, Justin shared, "How you can meet so many people from so many cultures. I enjoyed meeting South Koreans, Abdul, and others. It was fun being friends with them!"
