Grand River Academy Traditions
Every boy is paired with a faculty advisor. The advisor remains with the student for his entire career at Grand River Academy. The advisor groups consist of 5-6 boys. The boys and their advisors eat all weekday breakfasts and lunches together.
The faculty advisor also communicates with guardians on a regular basis. This allows for open discussion and additional community building.
Beginning with the 2012-13 school year, Grand River Academy began a community building activity. This year long program divides all the boys and faculty members into teams. These teams compete in various events and activities. With the goal of camaraderie, this has quickly become a new tradition.
A few times a year, the entire community gathers for a formal dinner. These dinner are usually paired with an awards ceremony or special evening activity.
