AUSTINBURG, OH— March 17, 2015 – We are excited to welcome back alumnus David Thomas ‘11 in the new role of Alumni Relations and Admissions Associate on June 1, 2015.
A life-long resident of Austinburg, David has served on the Austinburg Township Zoning Board and participated in Ashtabula YOUth LEADERship. He has since interned with former Congressman Steve LaTourette, former State Rep. Casey Kozlowski in Columbus, the Republican National Committee in Washington D.C., and Congressman Dave Joyce in Washington D.C.
Following graduation this May from Washington and Lee University, where he majored in Politics and Education Policy, he is looking forward to returning home to his alma mater of GRA. He shares, “I am excited to begin this position as I see it as a great way to give back to the institution and community which has given me so much over the years. Being an alum, I am excited to engage with present and past GRA students to enrich the school’s culture of success and community, as well as to work with our Admissions team on recruiting young men from the Northeast Ohio Region. GRA has a long tradition of helping students in our area find success, including myself. I look forward to helping families realize the full potential of a great education for their sons.”
We share that sentiment, with Headmaster Tim Viands adding, “we are thrilled to welcome David Thomas back to GRA in this capacity. His personal experiences and successes, combined with his passion for Northeast Ohio, will help propel GRA into the future.”
