'Twas weeks before Christmas and the Grand River Academy students excitedly began their bi‐weekly visits to the Ashtabula County Medical Center (ACMC) in hopes of spreading a little holiday cheer to all the children in the pediatric unit. The students had collected donations of a variety of gifts from the GRA faculty and staff, and personally delivered the gifts to the local medical facility. A member of the Class of 2015, Cooper, noted how important acts of giving can be, sharing “It felt great to be involved. We really connected with the kids.” The students quickly experienced the joy of giving as they witnessed the smiles they brought to the children and their family.
Following one of our visits with the children in the hospital, we decided to visit the pediatric clinic to continue sharing the joy of giving.
GRA's international students spent time as Santa's Elves wrapping gifts and writing out Christmas cards from Grand River Academy to share with the children and their family.
A box of wrapped presents was left with the nursing staff in effort to continue the act of giving during this Christmas week. We are so grateful to Ashtabula County Medical Center for welcoming the students and their willingness to give.
Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!
