Featured Country of the Month ~ TOGO

Throughout the school year, Grand River Academy will be featuring its international students and the country they represent.  


The month of November highlights Elpidio Amoussou '14 from TOGO.  


Elpidio is from Lome, Togo.  He is a senior at GRA living in Mastin Hall.  Elpidio plans on attending Pepperdine University following his graduation in May.  He was chosen student of the week in September for his hard work, kindness and involvement on campus.  Elpidio enjoys participating in numerous activities such as, community service projects, Student Ambassador Program as well as being a part of the basketball team, Academic Challenge Team, Tree Identification Team, all while remaining on the Headmaster's and Dean's list for term 1 & 2.  In Elpidio's spare time he enjoys meeting new people and spending time with his friends.

Favorite food ~ Thai Cuisine,

Favorite sport: ~ basketball,

When asked who he admires, he said his dad,

In talking about his experience at GRA, Elpidio said, " GRA is by far the best school out there.  Not only is it a significantly educational environment, but it's also a family."

Elpidio's future plan is to return back to Togo as he desires to do something significant for his country!
