Alumni Spotlight Featuring Jim Stafford '79

Success comes in many forms, as seen with this week's Alumni Spotlight featuring Jim Stafford '79. Following graduation from Grand River Academy, Jim attended Curry College, just outside of Boston, where he earned his Bachelor's in Business Administration. Jim is currently a Senior Underwriter for Progressive Insurance in Cleveland where he helps determine insurance premiums based on the likelihood of future claims.

When Jim isn't busy helping to insure many families, he serves as Grand River Academy's Alumni Association President. His responsibilities include helping to coordinate Alumni Association meetings, reaching out to alumni, and giving input on events held right here on campus. "I will never forget what GRA did for me in my education and now I believe it’s time for me to return the favor", Jim remarked, "as the current Alumni Association President, I want to ask my fellow grads to take a look at what GRA may have done for you and to step up and get involved by either helping to correct an issue or to build on the good."

Jim misses most from Grand River Academy the friendships he gained while on campus with both faculty and fellow students. When asked to give advice to current students based on his experiences, Jim commented, "do the best you can in school. Learn to enjoy learning, get the best grades you can possibly get and condition yourself to always go over and beyond what is being requested of you."

If you would like to get in touch with Jim, fellow GRA alumni, or be featured on David's Desk, please reach out to me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
