Why a Post Graduate Year
The leap from high school to college is a major life event that requires complete preparedness and certainty. Because of the significance that comes with this step in life, more and more young men are choosing to take part in a post-graduate (PG) year.
At Grand River Academy, we know how important it is for your son to feel confident and ready for his next steps in life. Maybe your son needs to:
- To improve his grades for better college choices
- To improve his test scores (SAT/ACT) for better college choices
- To solidify and improve his study and organizational skills
- To gain another year of maturity before entering college
Whatever his needs are, we’re here to support and guide him as he develops into the total young man – academically, socially, and emotionally.
Post-graduates can participate in the full academic program of Grand River Academy or they may have the opportunity to participate in theKent State University Post Secondary Option program.
Grand River Academy's Director of College Placement is highly regarded among college admissions counselors. GRA boasts a 100% college placement rate over the past 20 years. SAT and ACT test prep can be arranged.
The athletic conference Grand River Academy is a member of permits post-graduates to participate. Grand River Academy has interscholastic teams in soccer, cross country, golf, basketball, wrestling, baseball, lacrosse and tennis.
